Seize 10,000 pairs of fake Converse shoes made in China

Leader of Customs Enforcement Unit (Hai Phong Customs Department) said that the volume of transit cargo through the area is not large, focusing on number of groceries items, machinery, equipment, cigarette,… Recently, by implementing the direction off General Department of Customs, Hai Phong Customs Department has strengthened to inspect and control in order to timely detect and prevent the act of taking advantage of transit (the common method using in transport international goods) for committee violation.
After a long time of tracking and investigation, Customs Enforcement Unit and Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch (Hai Phong Customs Department) discovered a transit shipment that came from China (including 4 containers) cross Hai Phong port to Laos has suspicious sign and imported to Nam Hai Dinh Vu Port (Hai Phong province) at the end of June 2017.
After supplementing profile, on 6/7, Hai Phong Customs Enforcement Unit and Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch conducted a physical inspection.
According to primary result, the shipment contained 10,000 pairs of shoes labeled Converse brand. Based on the verification of Converse owner, all of those 10,000 pairs of shoes were faked.
Besides that, there were over 50,000 lubricant bottles suspected of faking up Honda, Sell brand and many groceries items suspected counterfeit brands.
Hai Phong Customs are continuing to expand the investigation for handling those violated goods in accordance with law.
