Reduce 4,400 goods items which must be managed and taken for specialized inspection

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, up to now, the ministries and sectors have amended and supplemented 80/87 documents (accounting for 92%) as required by the Decision 2026/QD-TTg of the Government approving on the solutions for raising the efficiency and effectiveness of specialized inspection activities for export and import goods.
Many categories of specialized inspection goods are cut, transferred to post-clearance audit, and abolishing some regulations that are no longer appropriate. More than 60 categories of goods subject to management and specialized inspection have been applied appropriate HS codes in accordance with the list of imports and exports issued together with Circular 65/2017 / TT-BTC.
Statistics on the basis of the regulations of the ministries and branches on management and specialized inspection. So far there are nearly 78,400 items subject to managed and specialized inspection, as compared with the statistics in the second quarter of 2015 (nearly 82,800 items), and after 3 years, the number of items subject to specialized management and inspection reduced to 4,400 items, so there are only 78,400 items.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs is continuing to coordinate with ministries and branches to implement measures in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of specialized inspection activities for imported and exported goods. Currently, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is preparing a project to submit to the Prime Minister for permission on implementing a pilot program of specialized inspection for some commodities at the customs authorities and consult other ministries on the draft. At the same time, continue to collaborate with the Ministries in reviewing and approving the list of import-export goods subject to specialized inspection accompanied with HS codes.
