The number of enterprises increases by 1.7%
Quang Ninh Customs specifies directions of the Government, Ministry of Finance, and the General Department of Vietnam Customs to ensure that import and export goods are carried out smoothly and safely, while preventing congestion of goods at the border gate.
Strengthening State management of customs area, implementing solutions to boost import and export activities across Quang Ninh province in the new situation, with a focus on implementing solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises.
There are 833 enterprises carrying out customs procedures in Quang NinhProvince, including 304 enterprises in the province and 529 enterprises outside the province. In July, 485 enterprises carried out customs procedures in the province, an increase of 1.7% compared to June.
Talking to Customs News, Ms. Tran Thi Mai Quyen, representative of Vietnam New Century Polyester Fibre Company Limited said ithas implemented customs procedures for a long time at Hon Gai Seaport Customs Branch (Quang Ninh Customs Department), said that the strong reform of information technology at Quang Ninh Customs has reduced cost and customs clearance time of goods. Enterprises can implement customs declarations “anytime, anywhere and on any device”. During the customs declaration process, customs officers have supported the company in handling problems.
According to Nguyen Ngoc Chung, representative of Cai Lan Vegetable Oil Company, during the customs declaration process at Hon Gai Seaport Customs Branch, all the company’s problems have been received and responded to promptly by Customs through channelssuch as dialogue conferences, calls and social media.
Supports enterprises
Quang Ninh Customs Department issued a plan to promote administrative reform, supporting enterprises in import and export activities during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, including effectively implementing information technology solutions to support customs declarants and taxpayers; connecting and exchanging information with ministries and sectors in handling administrative procedures.
Specifically, continue to effectively apply e-customs procedures on the VNACCS/VCIS, the online public service system, the e-tax payment system and customs clearance 24/7; regularly maintain the Information Support Team for Enterprises of Quang Ninh Customs Department to promote publicity and online support, direct support and promptly provide information and support for enterprises in import and export activities.
Quang Ninh Customs Department requires its subordinate units to focus on creating all favorable conditions in settling administrative procedures related to customs for the business community. At the same time, actively working with enterprises engaged in import and export activities in the area, enterprises in industrial parks to instruct and remove problems and difficulties for enterprises; creatingfavorable conditions for enterprises in implementing customs procedures in the area.
In the first half of 2020, Quang Ninh Customs Department processed customs procedures through VNACCS/VCIS for 26,863 declarations with a turnover of US$4.11 billion, down 18.4% in the number of declarations and down 13.1% in turnover over the same period last year. Particularly in July, the Department implemented customs procedures through the VNACCS/VCIS for 5,408 declarations, a 3% reduction in the number of declarations; turnover is estimated at US$906 million, down 1% in turnover compared with June. |
