VCN- On 14 June 2018, at the HCM City Customs Department, the General Department of Vietnam Customs held a ceremony to announce the Ministry of Finance's Decision 899 / QD-BTC dated 12 June 2018, appointing Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang - the Deputy Director of HCM Ctiy Customs Department as the Director of HCM City Customs Department. The Deputy Minister of Finance, Ms. Vu Thi Mai attended the award ceremony.

In addition, attending the ceremony were the Chief of Organization Board of the HCM City Party Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, and the Deputy Director General of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh.

At the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Lan, the Deputy Director of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Ministry of Finance announced Decision No.899 / QD-BTC appointing Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang as the Director of the HCM City Customs Department from 12 June 2018.

On behalf of the party committee, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Ms. Vu Thi Mai, congratulated the new Director of the HCM City Customs Department, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang, and she emphasized that the results of today's efforts derived from the consensus and support of the HCM City Customs Department, the trust and responsibility of the Board of Management, the Ministry of Finance and HCM City Party Committee. The Deputy Minister of Finance believed that with his strength and qualities, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang would fulfill his assigned tasks.

Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang, a well-trained cadre, has grown up from the grassroots level and has worked in the Customs sector for more than 23 years in various positions, which was recorded by the leaders of HCM City Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, and the leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs. Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang has also been rewarded with many noble awards.

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Ms. Vu Thi Mai emphasized, in the new position, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang had a higher responsibility. Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang has paid much attention to building the unit into a united group to develop and continued to promote emulation movement, promote initiative, encourage outstanding staff tocomplete assigned tasks well.

Speaking at the inauguration, the new Director of the HCM City Customs Department, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang promised to do his best to bring together leaders of the unit to further promote Customs reform and modernization, to intensify the inspection and control in order to raise the management efficiency and contribute to preventing the State budget deficit; to build regular, professional, transparent and effective Customs forces; and promote the tradition of solidarity and achievements to meet the requirements of the new period.

The new Director of the HCM City Customs Department, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang also thanked the leaders of the HCM City Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Vietnam Customs, as well as the entire staff of the HCM City Customs Department for appointing him and giving him this important position. Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang wished to continue receiving the direction of leaders at all levels; the support, assistance and sharing of the whole Board of Directors and officers of the HCM City Customs Department to well fulfill the new tasks.

Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang was born on 12 June 1967. Hometown: Hoa Khuong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city; and he is a Communist Party member of Vietnam.

Education: Bachelor of Law (Law of Justice, Law University of Ho Chi Minh City); Master of Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law; senior political theory; State management: the principal specialist program; Foreign language: English level C; and IT level A.

Working experience: From September 1995 to now, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang has worked at the Customs Department of Ho Chi Minh City.

From September 20, 2017 to now: he was the Deputy Director of the HCM City Customs Department.

On 12 June 2018, he was appointed as the Director of the HCM City Customs Department.
