A representative of the People's Committee of Lang Son province said that after issuing a document on the official pilot of the Digital Border Gate Platform, Lang Son Province conducted training, supported and guided the pilot implementation at Huu Nghi international border gate.

Accordingly, from 8am to 10am every day from January 20 to February 20, the People's Committee of Lang Son province requested businesses involved in import and export activities, transportation, and drivers through Huu Nghi international border gate to proactively arrange a time to attend the training course on the implementation the Digital Border Gate Platform at the Meeting Room on the 5th floor, Huu Nghi border gate building.

From February 21, the People's Committee of Lang Son province required businesses involved in import and export activities, transportation, and drivers through Huu Nghi international border gate to declare on the platform. Those who do not declare on the platform will be forced to suspend their imports, exports and transportation until they make a declaration on this digital platform.

The process of using the digital border gate platform includes eight steps: Declaring information; transporting import and export goods; controlling the flow of means of transport of import and export goods; medical examination; inspecting means of transport of imported and exported goods in and out of the border gate area; quarantine of animals and plants; transhipment of goods and goods inspection; collecting fees for the use of infrastructure works, service works and public utilities in the border gate area.

When applying the digital border gate, the imports and exports will be automated, helping reduce the time for businesses and improve openness and transparency in management activities at the border gate.

The contents and processes related to Customs duties on the Digital Border Gate Platform will comply with Notice 111 dated January 17, 2022 of Huu Nghi Border Gate Customs Branch.

Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of Lang Son Department of Information and Communications, said that the digital border gate platform applies many modern technologies such as AI, big data, and cloud computing. The database is centralized and able to connect and share via the Provincial Data Sharing, Integration and Connection Axis.

On January 13, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter 57 on officially piloting the digital border gate platform.

Businesses and relevant authorities officially piloted the digital border gate platform from January 14, 2022 at Huu Nghi international border gate on the principle of meeting the professional regulations of the relevant sectors and maximizing processes and procedures of import-export enterprises who make online declarations of goods, input means of transport and changing from manual data importation into online inspection, supervision and confirmation on the digital border gate platform.

Citizens, organizations, businesses and relevant authorities can access the Lang Son Provincial Digital Border Gate Platform Portal.
