Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy, Deputy Head of the Dong Dang Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board, said that currently, the trade demand of businesses from the two countries is very large. The number of vehicles waiting to complete export procedures at Huu Nghi Quan border gate (China) is large with about 1,000 vehicles. To resolve the situation of backlogged imported goods and slow customs clearance, currently, the Management Board of Dong Dang Border Gate Economic Zone has discussed and agreed with the authorities in Bang Tuong town (Guangxi - China) on Solutions to facilitate customs clearance of import and export goods of enterprises at the Huu Nghi (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China) international border gate pair.

Accordingly, the two sides agreed to reopen the Ta Phu Son tunnel (China) and separate lanes for empty cargo trucks of the two sides to pass through the 1116-1117 mark area to return to the country after delivery; There is also a specialized freight road at area 1119-1120 for vehicles carrying export goods.

In addition, the functional forces of both sides agreed to work an additional 2 hours (up to 20 hours per day). In the immediate future, this solution is applied on March 17 and 18 to increase customs clearance efficiency. In the following days, depending on the actual situation, the functional forces of the two countries will agree to work more if imported goods carts still increase, creating conditions for goods waiting for export to move smoothly, meeting the demand of enterprises.

A representative of Lang Son Customs Department said that to continue promoting import and export goods through border gates of Lang Son province, Lang Son Customs is continuing to organize meetings with Chinese customs to discuss about increasing new methods of goods delivery.

Talking to Customs Magazine about the situation of handling customs clearance procedures at the border gate area, a representative of Huu Nghi Border Gate Customs Sub-department said that not only at this time but right from the beginning of the year, the unit has proactively deploy many solutions and coordinate well with border gate authorities, creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to carry out customs clearance quickly and in accordance with regulations; Ensuring the facilitation of border trade while meeting the development requirements of businesses.

At the same time, there are no interruptions on weekdays, all shifts work in the spirit of getting goods cleared through customs as usual; Ensuring customs clearance of goods to avoid congestion, preparing the best position to serve businesses with import-export activities through the Sub-department, the representative of the Sub-department added.

In addition, Huu Nghi Customs is actively coordinating with functional forces at Huu Nghi international border gate area to exchange information with Chinese functional forces to have a unified plan to extend customs clearance time, regulate vehicles and goods flow to ensure that the border gate is always open, helping import and export activities between Vietnam and China to be convenient and effective.

In particular, from the end of 2023 until now, Huu Nghi Customs has focused on increasing the customs clearance capacity of import and export goods such as shortening customs clearance time, arranging civil servants in the professional line to work overtime, 100% of shipments are guaranteed, if customs procedures have been completed according to regulations, to be actually exported and imported within the same day. In particular, the Sub-department arranges civil servants to receive and handle procedures for businesses until 10 p.m., even 11 p.m. if there are still declarations that need to be processed.
