Huu Nghi and Tan Thanh border gates reopened to clear pre-registered goods

VCN - From February 14, Tan Thanh border gate and Huu Nghi International border gate (Lang Son) officially reopened after Tet holiday and carried out clearance procedures for import and export goods that have been pre-registered.

The Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Authority said that from February 18 onwards, border gates will restore customs clearance. Accordingly, on February 14, there were 125 trucks implemented clearance procedures through Huu Nghi international border gate and Tan Thanh border gate. Those trucks carried fresh fruits (durian, dragon fruit, jackfruit, watermelon) of businesses that made pre-registration from the Central and Southern provinces.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Manager of Tan Thanh Customs Branch (Lang Son Customs Department) said that on February 14, the unit received and processed procedures for 110 trucks carrying fresh fruits for export. In particular, the main import and export products were fresh fruits including mango, jackfruit, dragon fruit, and watermelon.

Meanwhile, at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Huu Nghi border gate Customs Branch also received and handled procedures for more than 30 trucks carrying durian and jackfruit for export to China and 6 trucks of imported goods. In addition, many trucks containing mainly fresh fruits such as jackfruit and durian were waiting for implementing clearance procedures. Huu Nghi Customs has built and arranged civil servants handling professional processes, declaration processes and automated customs procedures on the IT platforms of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh, Deputy Manager of Huu Nghi Border Gate Customs Branch, said that Huu Nghi Customs had coordinated well with border gate authorities, facilitated businesses to implement customs clearance quickly; ensuring the facilitation of border trade while meeting the development requirements of businesses. At the same time, arranging on-duty shifts, team leaders, and officials to ensure cargo clearance took place on the same day.

During the Tet holidays, there was no interruption, all shifts worked in the spirit of allowing goods to be cleared as usual; ensuring cargo clearance to avoid congestion, Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh added.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy, Deputy Director of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Authority, informed that, at this time, at the border gate, the competent forces have arranged officers to work and serve the import and export activities of goods. Not only implementing procedures for shipments that have been pre-registered by businesses, especially fresh fruit that has not been registered, Customs authority is still ready to carry out procedures and facilitate goods to be cleared as quickly as possible.

Also, from February 14 to 17, Huu Nghi international border gates and Tan Thanh border gate will carry out clearance procedures for import and export goods that have been pre-registered. From February 18, these two border gates will restore clearance activities to normal.

At Chi Ma, Coc Nam, Na Hinh, Na Nua border gates, from now until February 17, clearance activities will be carried out for pre-registered import and export goods. From February 18, border gates will restore clearance activities.
