HCM City and Hai Phong Customs Departments share experience and cooperate in task performance

VCN – At a working session between the two departments on August 5, Directors of HCM City and Hai Phong Customs Departments agreed on contents related to cooperation and sharing experience to improve effectiveness in task performance.

Hai Phong and HCM City Customs Departments are the two departments with the largest revenue and workload in the whole Customs industry. The revenues of the these departments account for about 50% of the entire industry's state revenue.

In 2019, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City Customs Departments signed a Coordination Regulation to promote the cooperative relationship, share and exchange experiences to improve the effectiveness in performing tasks.

At the working session, Director of HCM City Customs Department Nguyen Hoang Tuan highly appreciated the effectiveness of cooperation between the two departments, and said that the coordination has been implemented regularly and effectively. The coordination has helped these largest customs departments accomplish the tasks, making important contributions to the achievement of the Customs industry.

Director of Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Duy Ngoc said that over the past 5 years, the two departments have regularly coordinated and shared experiences, innitiatives and information in task performance.

During performing their tasks, the two departments have proactively exchanged and provided information related to targeting subjects, new sophiciated tricks, contributing to improving efficiency of fight against smuggling, trade fraud and customs control by the two departments.

The departments have shared experience in management, operation and use of customs control and operations software, and software to support internal control, direction, and administration of leaders at all levels.

At the working session, the leaders agreed to continue to comprehensively implement coordination in the work. Notably, the two departments continue to share the advantages and strengths of each department to effectively perform tasks.

In addition, the two departments will expand cooperation in emulation clusters led by the two directors; focus on implementing emulation movements to create achievements towards the 80-year anniversary of establishment of the Customs industry; 70-year anniversary of establishment of Hai Phong Customs Department and 50-year anniversary of establishment of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department.
