Hanoi Customs collects VND456 billion from post clearance audit

The above result exceeded 235 percent of the target, increasing by 170 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and accounted for 28 percent of the revenue collecting from the post clearance audit of the whole Customs sector. According to Deputy Manager Tran Thi Lan Anh, 2019 is a successful year for post-clearance audit of Hanoi Customs Department.
“Having such achievements, we have performed well in all three stages of post-clearance audit: firstly, collecting and analyzing information on selecting testing subjects; second was organized the inspection; three was processing inspection results. In particular, we paid special attention to collecting and analyzing information on selecting testing subjects in order to select and choose the right ones, focusing on inspection and evaluating the law compliance of the enterprises, sectors, markets, commodity groups with high risk, showing signs of violations of HS codes, declared value, origin,” Mrs. Anh said.
With the goal of selecting the right object for inspection, the post-clearance audit activity at Hanoi Customs Department focused on checking and assessing the law compliance of large enterprises , market, commodity groups with high risk, showing signs of violation of HS codes, value, origin. In fact, because of good performance at this stage, Hanoi Customs Department has increased the amount of state revenues collecting from post-clearance audit compared to previous years.
