Ha Tinh Customs’ revenue in five months reaches 39.5% of estimate

VCN – In the first five months of the year, Ha Tinh Customs Department collected about VND3,800 billion, reaching 39.5% of the target and increasing by 13.77% year-on-year.

Currently, Ha Tinh Customs Department has processed procedures for 6,384 declarations, up 6.7% year-on-year with the total import and export turnover of US$ 2,357.22 million, up 2.1% compared to the previous year.

Of which, the export turnover decreases by 15% to US$ 881.95 million year-on-year and the import turnover of US$ 1,475.27 million, up 16.14% compared to the previous year.

The department’s revenue also achieved positive results. At the end of May 25, the department collected VND3,800 billion, accounting for 39.33% compared to the estimate and increasing by 13.77% year-on-year.

Vung Ang Seaport Customs Branch achieved VND3,600 billion; Cau Treo International Border Gate Customs Branch earn over VND100 billion; and Xuan Hai Seaport Customs Branch collected over VND24.25 billion.

The representative of Ha Tinh Customs Department said that to achieve the positive results in the revenue, in the first months of the year, Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Iron and Steel Co., Ltd has increased the import of raw materials to serve production. Accordingly, the turnover of items that have large revenue as iron ore increased by 6.2% year-on-year; scrap increased by 94.9% year-on-year; alloy increased 2% compared to the same period in 2023...

Besides, in the first months of the year, Vung Ang II Thermal Power Company Limited, VINES Ha Tinh Energy Solutions Joint Stock Company and V-G High Energy Solutions Company Limited continued to maintain imports of machinery, equipment, materials to complete the construction of the factory, which also contributed to increasing revenue for Ha Tinh Customs Department.

From now until the end of the year, the Department will promote budget collection; promptly handle arising problems related to tax and price at the branches; synchronously deploy solutions; create favorable conditions for businesses in the process of importing and exporting goods to achieve the highest state revenue target in 2024.
