Ha Tinh Customs arrests suspect transporting 11kg of drugs

VCN- According to Ha Tinh Customs Department, the department has coordinated with Ha Tinh Border Guard to handle case HT 1220 and arrested a suspect transporting 11kg drugs across the border.

At 7pm on January 13, at km 58, Highway 8A, in Son Kim Commune 1, Huong Son District, Ha Tinh province, the competent authorities arrested Tran Ngoc Nam, born in 1984, residing in An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang while he was illegally transporting drugs.

The competent authorities seized 8kg of ketamine and 3kg of crystal meth, a car and related exhibits.

Initially, Mr. Tran Ngoc Nam said that he was hired by a Lao citizen to transport these drugs from Cau Treo International Border Gate to Hai Phong City to hand them to another person.

Currently, the case is undergoing investigation for handling by the competent authorities.
