Ha Noi Customs: Revenues increased 11.7 billion VND from price consultancy

According to the Head of Import and Export Duty Division (Ha Noi Customs Department) Tran Dai Thang, from the beginning of the year to now, the Department has promoted the price consultancy and anti-losses of revenues through the establishment of Team on Customs Value Consultancy directed by the Director. Besides, the Department compiled a document on Customs value to support for Customs Branches and Customs officers.

In addition, the Department regularly checks and reviews the system to promptly correct errors in the value determination and handles the responsibility of officials who made errors in the price determination.

In order to facilitate Customs Branches to implement the price consultancy for imported and exported goods, on March 2017, the Director of Ha Noi Customs Department assigned the Heads of Customs Branches to consult imported and exported goods.

As a result, in the first six months of the year, Ha Noi Customs Department consulted total of 419 declarations. Through the price consultancy, it rejected declared value in 331 declarations and accepted declared a value in 88 declarations, and increased 11.7 billion VND of tax revenues.

At Customs Branch level, from April 1, 2017, to June 30, 2017, Customs Branches consulted 214 dossiers. They rejected declared a value in 166 dossiers and accepted declared a value in 48 dossiers, and collected 7.01 billion VND of tax revenues.

Besides focusing on Customs value determination, in the recent time, the Ha Noi Customs Department has achieved results in urging and recovering and handling tax debts. In the first 6 months of the year, the Department recovered 17.87 billion VND of tax debts, reaching 58.38 % of assigned target (31.61 billion VND), and increasing 4.18 times compared to the same period of 2016.

Until June 30, 2017, the Ha Noi Customs Department collected 10,422 billion VND, reaching 50.46% of target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, reaching 50.1% of striving target, and increasing 18.45% compared to the same period of 2016.
