The Head of Import-Export Duty Division (Ha Noi Customs Department) Tran Dai Thang said that as of 19 th December, its revenue was VND 20,860 billion, reaching 101.02% of the estimate (VND 20,860/20,650 billion).

Of which, the revenues of Customs Branches in Ha Noi was VND 16,636 billion, reaching 96.72% of the estimate, revenue of Customs Branches out of Ha Noi was VND 4,224 billion, reaching 122.43% of the estimate. Currently, Ha Noi Customs Department has actively deployed solutions to obtain the highest revenue.

In 2017, the revenue collection of Ha Noi Customs Department has met many difficulties due to tariff cuttings and reduction under FTAs and the application of some new policies.

However, many factors have helped the department to reach the target estimate, such as the Customs branch transfer mechanism to My Dinh ICD was officially applied since 1st July 2017, which expands subjects of application and allows goods to be transferred to ICD My Dinh for Customs clearance.

Besides, Ha Noi Customs Department has focused on solutions to facilitate businesses; paid attention to price ruling, anti-loss of revenue, prevention of negative acts and harassment, and post clearance audit. Thereby, in 2017 Ha Noi Customs Department attracted more than 130 businesses, 15 agents and 3 contractors. The increase in number of businesses has compensated for the loss of revenue.
