GDVC handles offences of officers involved in the Polyester fibre smuggling case
The press release stated that after detecting enterprises and customs officer violations, Binh Phuoc Customs Department has closely coordinated with HCM City Police to collect documents and evidence for investigation. The GDVC has directed the Binh Phuoc Customs Department to review and handle the responsibilities of relevant individuals and units.
On August 31, Binh Phuoc Customs Department suspended relevant customs officers from work to clarify responsibilities and provide records and documents to the investigation authority.
The department has cooperated with the Police Investigation Agency and HCM City Police to resolve the case, specifically reviewing all files of the case, referring current regulations related to customs procedures, assignment of tasks, identification of responsibilities of each unit and each officer (including officer, leaders of teams, customs branches and the department).
Based on the violations of individuals and units and referring them to the regulations on disciplining civil servants, Binh Phuoc Customs Department will review the responsibilities of the head and deputy head of the relevant units.
The department will mobilize human resources and equipment to ensure customs clearance procedures for businesses in the area 24/7.
