Instructions for operation of the Online Pulic Service of the General Department. |
The General Department of Vietnam Customs has instructed local customs departments to peform effectively and uniformly.
Accordingly, inspection and supervision procedures for imports and exports that require intellectual property rights protection on the Online public service portal at: https://www. customs.gov.vn/index.jsp?pageId=4&cid=1191 from November 15, 2023.
Rights holders and legally authorized persons needs to pay attention to the uploaded file size during carrying out customs procedures. The system requires uploaded files to be less than or equal to 3 MB. If the file is larger than 3 MB, the decalarant should divide the file into smaller files and upload them in the attached file section on the system.
Currently, there are no speacific regulations for declaring data via links. Therefore, the General Department of Vietnam Customs recognize and will research for implementation.
Regarding the use of digital signatures with uploaded files, for the declarant as enterprises, the uploaded files must be signed by the registered digital signature of the business for authentication. For the declarant as individuals, submitted files are not required to be signed by the digital signature.
For accepted and valid intellectual property data, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will soon complete the update to the database of the Online Public Service Portal.
