She mentioned some work details, such as completing a large number of projects of policy development, including important documents such as Decree 59/2018 / ND-CP and Circular 39/2018 / TT. -BTC. The combat, detection and prevention of smuggling of the Customs sector has also achieved remarkable results. Along with that are the other work duties such as Customs supervision, Customs post-clearance inspection, risk management, administrative reform, capacity building, staff strengthening, etc., that have been promoted and achieved good results.
She noted that in the last 3 months of 2018, the Customs sector should focus on carrying out the following tasks:
Continuing policy making; promptly grasping and solving problems arising in the implementation of the new policies of Decree 59/2018 / ND-CP and Circular No. 39/2018 / TT-BTC, for enterprises and improve accountability in solving problems.
She also requested that the Customs sector needs to finalize some legal documents in line with reality, which requires careful comments by the municipal and provincial Customs units.
For the implementation of National Single Window, Mrs. Mai said that the General Department of Customs has played the role of a standing agency well, but it needs to be more active in coordinating with ministries and sectors to carry out the Action Plan to boost the National Single Window, ASEAN Single Window, reform of specialized inspection for imports and exports and trade facilitation in the 2018-2020 period.
For the budget collection task, agreeing with proposed measures, Mrs. Mai said that the Customs sector should strive to ensure state budget revenue, the central policy balance, tax inspection, supervision and tax refund; synchronously deploy measures and strengthen the post –Customs clearance inspection.
Regarding the customs administration, the management of scrap imports in particular, according to the Deputy Minister, the General Department of Customs has actively inspected, monitored and issued guiding documents for implementation. However, in order to implement the Directive 27 specifically, the General Department of Customs should provide more detailed written guidance on some contents. At the same time, sending written official letters for coordination regulation in accordance with Directive 27. The General Department of Customs should introduce a clear handling plan for containers backlogged at ports.

Approving with measures introduced by the General Department of Customs in implementing the remaining tasks in the last three months of the year, Mrs. Vu Thi Mai believes that the Customs will fulfil the assigned tasks.
