Da Nang Customs encourages enterprises to voluntarily comply with Customs law

When participating the Program on supporting enterprises to voluntarily comply with Customs law under Decision No. 1399/QĐ-TCHQ dated July 15, 2022 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, enterprises will be consulted and removed problems by the Customs.

In addition, enterprises will be provided information and warnings about risks during import and export activities; about factors that reduce the compliance level of enterprises; risks of supply chain, intellectual property infringement in import and export activities; internal risks of enterprises in import and export activities under recommendations from competent authorities and organizations in the country and in the world to help enterprises prevent and avoid violations, thereby improving the level of compliance with customs laws.

Businesses are also given priority to facilitate in the application of measures to inspect goods by container scanners when they propose support to remove difficulties and reduce the cost in the process of import, export and transit of goods.

In special cases, as the request of the enterprise, the Customs authority may coordinate with the relevant agencies to support and consult the enterprise on measures to remedy and minimize the consequences of errors and violations for the enterprise in customs process, ensuring compliance with the provisions of law.

When the enterprise registers to participate in the Program, Da Nang Customs Department will sign a memorandum of understanding with the enterprise on contents of cooperation, support and improvement of customs compliance and prevention of law violations.

According to Da Nang Customs Department, in the first half of the year, the department has managed and supported three enterprises participate in the pilot program on supporting enterprises to voluntarily comply with Customs law, and local 60 enterprises participating in the Program on facilitation and support to enterprises to comply with Customs laws.
