According to HCMC People's Committee, the total State revenue in HCMC in the first 10 months of 2024 is estimated to increase by 10% over the same period last year, of which revenue from all economic sectors increased quite well, contributing to a 15.8% increase in domestic revenue and especially revenue from import-export increased by 1%.

Accordingly, the total state budget revenue in the first 10 months of 2024 is estimated at VND 408,468 billion, reaching 84.6% of the estimate and increasing by 10% year-on-year.

Specifically, domestic revenue is estimated at VND 288,374 billion, reaching 86.3% of the estimate, accounting for 70.6% of the total revenue and increasing by 15.8% year-on-year.

Of which, revenue from State sector is estimated at VND 26,394 billion, reaching 88.3% of the estimate, accounting for 6.5% of the total revenue and increasing by 5.9%.

Revenue from the non-state sector is estimated at VND 83,515 billion, reaching 91.1% of the estimate, accounting for 20.5% of the total revenue and increasing by 13.3%.

Although accounting for nearly 16% of total budget revenue, this year, revenue from the FDI sector only rose slightly by nearly 2% to VND 63,226 billion, reaching 91.1% of the estimate.

Revenue from crude oil plunged to VND 16,980 billion, reaching 94.9% of the estimate, accounting for 4.2% of total revenue and decreasing by 16.9%.

Notably, revenue from import-export activities reached VND 102,787 billion, reaching 78.6% of the estimate, accounting for 25.2% of total revenue and increasing by 1%.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance, the highlight of the State budget revenue results in Ho Chi Minh City in October 2024 is that revenue from import-export activities has begun to increase compared to the same period last year.

Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department said that up to now, the unit's revenue has shown signs of a slight increase compared to the same period last year.

Thus, after a long period of sharp decline, the rate of decline in the State budget revenue of the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department has improved month by month.

Of which, 3 items alone: ​​automobiles, gasoline, iron and steel account for nearly 35% of the total budget revenue of the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department. Therefore, in 2024, the fluctuations in these revenues have greatly affected the unit's revenue results.

Specifically, the State budget revenue from automobiles decreased by more than VND4,695 billion; petroleum products decreased by more than VND1,000 billion.

In 2024, the total revenue in Ho Chi Minh City is estimated at VND482,851 billion, up 2.8% of the estimate and 9.92% compared to 2023.

Of which, domestic revenue is VND333,960 billion, up nearly 14%; revenue from crude oil is VND17,900 billion; revenue from import-export activities is VND130,800 billion, up more than 8% compared to 2023.
