The General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) requests local customs departments to drastically implement solutions to facilitate trade, improve effectiveness of state management, prevent revenue loss and strive to accomplish the revenue target 2024 of VND 374,000 billion.

At the same time, focus on building and completing legal documents in accordance with regulations, as an legal basis for deploying Digital Customs, Smart Customs and customs reform, improving the efficiency of customs management.

The GDVC requires local customs departments to execute the Customs Development Strategy until 2030 issued together with Decision No.628/QD-TTg dated May 20, 2022 of the Prime Minister; plan for digital transformation of the Customs sector for 2025, with a vision to 2030, ensuring comprehensive digital transformation in the customs operations.

Implement bidding to execute the Project on “Building an IT system to implement Digital Customs to meet professional requirements in customs clearance”, and report on the project on “Building an IT system to implement Digital Customs to meet professional requirements of pre-clearance and post-clearance” for comprehensive digital transformation of customs operations.

Promote the role of the Standing agency of the National Steering Committee on the ASEAN Single Window, the National Single Window and Trade Facilitation to implement the Project on expanding of the National Single Window and connecting the ASEAN Single Window.

Continue to reform and simplify customs procedures towards modernity and transparency. Strengthen the modernization of customs inspection and supervision equipment.

Advise the Standing agency of the National Steering Committee 389 to strengthen control and fight against smuggling and trade fraud, especially leading in combating drug-related crimes in the customs control area.

Implement the Decision amending and supplementing Decision No. 65/2015/QD-TTg dated December 17, 2015; arrange the organizational structure in line with comprehensive digital transformation in customs operations. Build a professional and modern Customs force to meet the requirements of customs reform and modernization; Strictly comply with administrative discipline in performing public duties.

Follow closely the assigned estimate plan, focus on drastically directing and accelerating implementation progress right from the first days of the year; urge units to enhance the rate and quality of disbursement. Focus on expediting disbursement progress of IT projects, investing in purchasing customs inspection and supervision equipment, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and meeting task requirements.
