According to Cao Bang Customs Department, in January 2024, the total import-export turnover of the whole Department soared 261% year-on-year to more than US$70 million.
Of which, exports reached US$58.96 million, up 530% and imports reached US$11.09 million, up 11% over the previous month
Import and export goods are mainly agricultural products, machinery and equipment, cars, lead ingots, coal of all kinds.
Regarding budget revenue, the whole department earned VND61.04 billion VND, down 17% over the same period last year, but reaching 105% of the plan set by the unit in January 2024.
The trade turnover surges but tax revenue decreases. This is because the exported items are mainly agricultural products (no tax was incurred), and imported items with a large tax revenue such as: garment fabric, coal, cars and machinery and equipment declined.

Regarding the implementation of budget collection task in February 2024, Cao Bang Customs Department estimates that the unit will collect VND56 billion (lower than it in January due to the Lunar New Year holiday of Dragon).
