In August, Cao Bang Customs Department’s revenue increased 24% month-on-month to VND80.74 billion.
The positive results in the revenue were due to the high growth of some import and export products compared with the previous month.
The export turnover of products, such as lead ingots, is up 99%, and Nickel concentrates up 100%. Meanwhile, imported turnover of goods soared, such as fabrics up 46%, Yeast up 134%, and Veneer up 296%.
In the first eight months of the year, Cao Bang Customs Department has only collected VND546.2 billion, meeting 51% compared with the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, down to 76% over the same period last year.
In 2023, the Cao Bang Customs Department was assigned a revenue target of VND1,070 billion by the Ministry of Finance (the Cao Bang area was assigned a target of VND1,048 billion, and the Bac Kan area was assigned VND 22 billion).
To fulfil the revenue target, the department has implemented solutions such as implementing mechanisms and policies related to imports and exports; Effectively implemented e-tax payment 24/7; coordinated with relevant agencies to facilitate importers and exporters; taken measures to prevent revenue loss, and focused on tax debt collection and settlement.
The decrease in the department’s revenue in the first eight months of the year results from the decline in import turnover of CBU cars.
