Cam Pha Customs ready to operate customs management at Van Don airport

VCN – On 12/2, through an exchange with Customs News reporter, the Manager of Cam Pha Customs Branch (Quang Ninh Customs Department) Hoang Tu Hoan said that, the unit is preparing necessary conditions for the State management of Customs at Van Don airport.

Also, according to Mr Hoang Tu Hoan, the unit is currently reviewing and reporting to the leader of Quang Ninh Customs Department for supplementing, arranging and allocating customs officials to implement customs procedures at Van Don Airport.

At first, the deployment at Van Don airport will be operated by a contingent of cadres and civil servants of the Operations Team to handle procedures.

In the future, the Branch will propose to Quang Ninh Customs Department to report to the General Department of Customs for establishing a Procedure Team at Van Don Airport.

At the same time, the Branch is developing a scenario, training for implementing procedures for passengers and luggage on entry and exit.

Furthermore, the Branch also cooperates with the construction unit to arrange a working room, installation of a scanner system, and a camera system at Van Don Airport in order to ensure proper management.

It is expected that the State management of Customs at Van Don Airport will start on 28/2/2019.
