VCN- Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, the Manager of the Customs Branch of My Phuoc Industrial Park (under the Binh Duong Customs Department) said that the Customs Branch conducted some consultations on some contents related to Customs procedures for export and import of raw materials for a Taiwanese company with a $US 1 billion which was expected to start operation in May 2017.

Representatives of Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd exchanged difficulties and obstacles with the Customs Branch of My Phuoc Industrial Park.

It was Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd (under Far Eastern Group - Taiwan). In 2015, the company was granted investment certificate by Binh Duong People's Committee to build a polyester staple fiber production plant, including long filament yarn, cotton yarn, synthetic yarn and knitted yarn in Bau Bang Industrial Park, Bau Bang district.

The project was built on an area of 99 hectares in Bau Bang industrial park, with the investment capital of $US 1 billion, divided into several phases. The factory in Binh Duong has been the third largest factory in the world after the factory in China and the factory in Taiwan of Far Eastern Group.

In recent times, the Customs Branch of My Phuoc Industrial Park has processed procedures for the import of machinery and equipment as well as fixed assets of Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. It is expected that in May 2017, the company will begin importing raw materials for export production.

During the consultations, the Customs Branch of My Phuoc Industrial Park exchanged and guided enterprises on tax policies for the import of raw materials for production export of goods, the determination of norms of exported goods and the handling of inventories in order to help enterprises understand Customs procedures to comply with regulations.
