This is considered a space for the department to execute administrative procedure reform programs and activities for the business community.

Supporting businesses 24/7

In the first months of 2022, the cooperation activities between Bac Ninh Customs and the business community have achieved positive results, creating a premise for the two sides to discuss and handle problems.

Many obstacles have been removed by the local department through dialogue conferences and providing information to the business community, thereby promoting the law compliance of enterprises. Therefore, local customs branches have grasped the import and export status of enterprises, regularly assessed changes in budget revenues, promptly assisted and removed obstacles, and adjusted to be consistent with practice, ensuring appropriate and accurate revenue collection and preventing new tax debts.

Vietpan Pacific International Co., Ltd (located in Bac Giang City) is one of the thousands of companies that have benefited from activities executed by the department.

Speaking to Customs News, Mr. Nguyen Cao Vinh, an import-export officer of the company, said that currently, the company has carried out customs procedures in Bac Ninh Customs Branch with about 300-400 declaration forms per month.

The company mainly imports and exports garment raw materials, machinery and equipment.

During the customs process, the company has accessed new policies and been been supported in a timely fashion by the working team, or through dialogue conferences, and the website of the department. In addition, customs officers have directly answered problems related to new regulations such as tax policies.

Recently, at the Business Dialogue Conference 2022 held by Bac Ninh Customs Department, Director Tran Duc Hung said that amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the department has provided effective solutions to support importers and exporters. The department has proactively and flexibly proposed and executed solutions to operate and arrange human resources for customs clearance.

Continue to reform administrative procedures

Director Tran Duc Hung said that in the first quarter, despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the trade and tax revenue of areas managed by the department has recorded positive results, showing the development of the business community.

Specifically, by the end of the first quarter, the department had collected VND3,371 billion in tax revenue, meeting 31.37% of the assigned target and 28.82% of the ambitious target. The total trade saw a year-on-year increase of 16% to US$46.489 billion. The import turnover rose 8% to US$24.492 billion while the import turnover surged 26% to US$22.357 billion.

To complete the political tasks set out in 2022, the department will continue to implement solutions to facilitate and improve the effectiveness of state management and anti-revenue loss in the revenue collection in 2022.

In addition, the department will actively grasp the difficulties and problems of businesses in implementing Decree 15/ND-CP on tax exemption and reduction policies.

The department will also strengthen the dissemination and education of customs law and tax law, instruct and encourage local enterprises to carry out customs procedures on the online public service system, National Single Window, ASEAN Single Window; continue to reform and streamline customs procedures in a modern and transparent manner; resolve problems related to tax policies, tax administration and accounting regime.

“Bac Ninh Customs Department always identifies the business community and the department as the reliable partner, and accompanies businesses to promote innovation, applies advanced science and technology, and makes full use of the efficiency of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in performing tasks and providing solutions to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness," said Director Tran Duc Hung.
