Customs Enforcement Units of the Quang Ninh Customs Department in Mong Cai City are stepping up their efforts to combat smuggling, ensuring the area does not become a hotspot for illicit trade.

VCN - According to Steering Committee 389 of the Ministry of Finance, the smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods has continued to develop complicatedly on border routes, sea areas and inland areas, with new and more sophisticated methods and tricks.

VCN - During the inspection, the enforcement authorities detected 4 carton boxes in the tractor-trailer cabin. There were 16 boxes inside these carton boxes, each box weighing 3.1 kg and were wrapped in colorful paper.

VCN - The methods and tricks of cigarette smugglers are not new, but they are still aggressive, causing difficulties for the authorities.

VCN - At the inspection time, Trung rode a motorbike with license plate 38C1 - 26517 to transport two sacks with 52 packages of synthetic drugs and ketamine, weighing 52 kg and many related evidence.
