According to the HCM City Customs Department, in October 2024, the Department consulted 3,810 customs declarations, of which 1,584 declarations rejected the declared value (reaching 41.57%), contributing to increasing the state revenue by over VND 21.67 billion.

As of October 31, the Department has consulted 24,215 declarations, of which 8,334 declarations rejected the declared value (reaching 34.41%), contributing to increasing the state revenue by over VND129.94 billion.

The Department said that through customs valuation, border gate and outside border gate customs branches have detected that many imported goods have been declared customs value lower than the reference prices of the Customs.

Therefore, Customs officers have conducted customs value ruling and rejected declarations that have inappropriate declared values and revised up customs value, thereby increasing the state revenue.
