1,311 records resolved through the “One-stop” division of the General Department of Customs

In September 7th, talking with reporters of Customs News, officers working at the “one-stop” division said the records which were sent related mainly to the management of the Import-Export Tax Bureau (more than 1,100 records). Next, wererecords related to the management of the Customs Supervision and Management Bureau (183 records), in addition, there werea few records in the information technology field.
Of the 1,311 records received by the “one-stop” division, 757 records weretransacted directly by citizens and businesses, the rest were transferred by post.
“Most records wereprocessed,and the results transmitted to people, and businesses on time or before the deadline” - officers working in the “one-stop” division shared more.
The “One-stop”division located at Head office of the General Department of Customs, Block E3 - Duong DinhNghe Street, CauGiay District, Hanoi is the place to receive and resolve administrative procedures relating to Customs.

Ms. Truong Thi Thuy Vinh, head of the Administration office (the General Customs Office) –the focal point for the implementation of the “one-stop” division at the General Customs authorities- said that the administrative procedures in the General Customs Officehad 38 procedures related to 5 units, including: the Customs Supervision and Management Bureau (23 procedures); the Import-Export Tax Bureau (10 procedures); the IT and Customs Statistics Bureau (3 procedures); the Customs Office (1 procedure) and the Post Clearance Audit Bureau (1 procedure).
To perform these procedures, individuals and organizations in need can come to deal with the “one-stop” divisiondirectly or send their requests by post.
After receiving the records, the ‘one-stop” division will classify and transfer to the Customs functional Departments and Bureaus to handle.The results will be re-transferred to the ‘one-stop” division to respond to the individuals and organizationsdirectly. The individuals and organizations can receive information in personat the ‘one-stop” division, or through the post.
Notably, there is no cost for sending results by post.
The General Department of Customs has carried out the administrative procedures of the General Department through the ‘one-stop” division since 2007. However, recently, implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision 09/2015/QD-TTg dated March 25th, 2015 on the implementation of the “one stop shop”,and the inter-departmental “one stop shop” in the State administrative agencies at the locallevel, has meant that the General Department of Customs has sorted, consolidated and deployed operations of the “one-stop’ division under the new regulations of the Prime Minister sinceApril 1st, 2016.
