Thanh Hoa Customs cooperates effectively with businesses

VCN – By effectively implementing trade facilitation solutions, only in the first eight months of 2024, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has exceeded the revenue target for 2024. Over the past 10 years, the Customs-Business partnership in Thanh Hoa has gained positive results. Thanh Hoa Customs Department has regularly disseminated and supported enterprises in updating customs and tax policies and regulations. The department has organized Customs-Business Dialogue Conferences to gather feedback from the business community on problems in customs processes. The signing of cooperation programs with enterprises has also been promoted, contributing to the development of import and export activities.

Currently, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has answered questions for about 1,000 import and export enterprises in the management area, and has signed cooperation agreements with 42 associations and enterprises.

Motivated by great efforts in supporting enterprises, in 2022 Thanh Hoa Customs Department was ranked first in the Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI), and ranked first Public Administration Reform Index (PAR) in Decision No. 2627/QD-TCHQ dated October 27, 2023. In 2023, the Department was in the top group in the DDCI. The achievements have showed the satisfaction of enterprises with the Customs in the past time.

Nguyen Bao Khanh, Deputy General Director of VAS Nghi Son Group Joint Stock Company, highly appreciated the role and responsibility of Thanh Hoa Customs Department in managing and supporting businesses in the customs processes, especially officers who directly perform customs procedures, instruct and remove difficulties for enterprises, thereby improving the capacity of the team working in import and export at businesses.

Do Dinh Hieu, Director of VCCI Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh Branch, highly appreciated the great efforts of Thanh Hoa Customs Department in continuously improving the DCCI, thereby further improving the effectiveness of business support and service quality. Thanh Hoa Customs Department has effectively supported for the development of enterprises, and performed well the role of both management and cooperation, while creating favorable conditions for import and export activities in the province.

However, Hieu said that in addition to the achieved results, there are still contents that need attention in the development of Customs-Business partnership, for example, the strengthening of information connection and exchange between the businesses and the Customs; application of information technology, support for businesses anytime, anywhere; transformation in improving the quality and effectiveness of partnership; transformation in approach, expanding the scope and participants in partnership.

According to Thanh Hoa Customs Department, in the near future, the department will focus on improving the quality of service for people and businesses in implementing customs procedures and customs control. The department will strengthen cooperation between the Customs, businesses and related parties, ensuring effective and in-depth implementation; consider enterprises as cooperative partners; and take enterprise satisfaction as one of the top criteria to assess the effectiveness of Customs enforcement.

Additionally, the department will continue to promote and diversify methods of dissemination of customs regulations to import and export enterprises in the management area; strongly apply digital technology, build digital Customs, and smart Customs. At the same time, the department will encourage and facilitate the business community and related parties to participate in perfecting customs policies, management methods, service quality of Customs agencies at all levels, and implement pilot programs to support and encourage enterprises to voluntarily comply with customs laws through consultation, cooperation, and supervision activities.
