Strengthen control of imported pesticides and animal products

Specifically, the units have to strengthen the inspection and control of imported pesticides, only completing cargo clearance for the shipment of pesticides eligible for import in accordance with the Law on Customs and the following requirements:

Must be on the list of pesticides eligible to use in Vietnam (attached with Circular 10/2019/TT-BNNPTNT dated September 20, 2020 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development); goods are not on the list of banned from using in Vietnam (attached with Circular 10/2019/TT-BNNPTNT); for pesticides that are subject to the regulations in Point 2, Article 67, Law on Plant Protection and Quarantine, it is only allowed to import when having license from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Regarding the management of animal products that are for temporary import and re-export, General Department of Vietnam Customs requested provincial Customs Department to strictly implement measures on strengthening inspection and supervision of temporary import and re-export goods as stated in document No.4307/TCHQ-GSQL dated June 28, 2019 and document No. 4747/TCHQ-GSQL dated July 16, 2020 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
