Severely handling cases of temporary import for re-export for smuggling

This is the request of the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - Head of National Steering Committee 389.
Temporarily imported goods for re-export are the goods imported into Vietnam, but not for the purpose of domestic consumption and should be exported abroad within a prescribed time
In Vietnam, thanks to its favourable geographical location, the operations of temporary import for re-export have achieved remarkable results, creating revenues for local budgets and playing an important role in the development of the economy, society, security and defense of the border provinces.
In addition to these results, the operations of temporary import for re-export have also had a certain number of restrictions in the management and control, especially the control of abuse of advantages of temporary import for re-export to trade prohibited goods or perform commercial fraud and tax evasion.

In fact, during inspections, and supervision and control of temporary import for re-export, the Customs force has detected many cases of deliberate declaration of wrong names of goods and even falsifying seals of civil servants for illicit profits.
