Attending the seminar will be speakers, delegates, and guests from the following agencies: the General Department of Customs, local Customs Departments; Standing Office of the National Steering Committee against Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeiting (National Steering Committee 389); the Market Surveillance Agency, the E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Vietnam E-commerce Association; Guangdong Chamber of Commerce; the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association and about 200 Vietnamese and Chinese delegates and businesses in the following fields: technology, e-commerce, e-commerce trading floor, logistics, express delivery, logistics commercial centers, electronics, banks; internet providers: VNPT, Viettel, FPT, reporters of press agencies.
E-commerce and cross-border e-commerce are opening up new opportunities and great potential for businesses. Participating in cross-border e-commerce helps businesses increase export and import opportunities, and approach customers around the world, thereby expanding markets and raising revenue.
Although cross-border e-commerce offers many opportunities but also puts many challenges for Vietnamese businesses, in which Vietnamese businesses have to face issues related to legal aspects, transportation management, customs policy and procedures, taxation, and international trade policy. Accordingly, businesses need to have in-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and processes to ensure law compliance and make the most of business opportunities.
To continue to identify limitations and difficulties and propose effective solutions to reform policies and procedures for state management of customs for import and export goods transacted through e-commerce; and strengthen the fight against counterfeit goods, goods infringing on intellectual property, and protect domestic production and consumers' interests, Customs Magazine held the seminar with the topic "Customs reform, promoting cross-border e-commerce development”.
The seminar will focus on discussing the current situation of cross-border e-commerce activities and new prospects; barriers and obstacles between the management mechanism and facilitation to businesses engaged in import-export transactions via e-commerce; the reform of policies and procedures for state management of customs for imported and exported goods transacted through e-commerce; the fight against counterfeiting, intellectual property infringing goods, and the protection of domestic production and consumers' interests.

The Seminal will take place from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Hall of Area B2, Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
