According to Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch, this shipment was opened Customs declaration at Chon Thanh Customs Branch by Sinh Kim Transport Trading Service Import Export Co., Ltd (Group 43, Bau Ke hamlet, Tan Phu town, Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province).

Through the information collection on the systems, Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch detected the shipment in the container BMOU6485180 (according to the declaration in the E-manifest system, it was used machines including barbed, alternating-current generator, cleaving machine, fuel filling column, air compressor, hand mechanical rammer under the declaration No. 101421496632/A12 dated 24/5/2017) has suspicious signs so it was transferred to key supervision and surveillance. As an analysis result from the scanner, there was prohibited items so the Branch issued a decision of inspection.

Through the physical inspection, besides 2 items were listed in the declaration which was generator and hand mechanical rammer, Customs authorities discovered a lot of smuggled goods. In that, fire hoses 15m/roll brand new 100% (250 rolls), used lift truck (2 trucks), 2 used fire pumps, used fishing rods (150 sets), 6 used hand fork lifts.

Furthermore, prohibited goods in the shipment were including used wall clocks and desk clocks (50 clocks), 33 used electric cookers, 27 used gas stoves, 40 used electric fans, 70 used rice cookers.
