Seize hundreds of sex toys in import counterfeit shipment from China

On 12/7, at Cat Lai port, the IPR Protection Enforcement Unit (Unit 4), the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department- General Department of Vietnam Customs coordinated with Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch to inspect and discover another container that contained large quantities of counterfeit and fake good of famous brands with total value was up to tens of billion vnd.

The inspection team found thousands of products that were adult sports clothes and children, wrist watches ... fake up famous brands. Notably, Customs authorities also found many boxes containing hundreds of sex toys, condoms, etc.

According to the representative of the leader of Unit 4, the above shipment was one of 13 cargo containers of 5 companies transported from Guangzhou (China) transited to Vietnam via Cat Lai port and then transported by road to Cambodia. Those containers were suspected of containing counterfeit goods.

So far, Unit 4 has coordinated to inspect and detect 4 containers of clothes, shoes, fashion accessories, phones, watches, bags faking up famous brands such as Adidas, Puma, Converse, Chanel, Hermes, Apple, Samsung, Giorgio Armani. These brands have been registered for border control and protection of intellectual property rights in Vietnam.
