Saigon port area 3 Customs improves the coordination efficiency of importing and exporting petroleum

VCN - On April 11, the Saigon port area 3 Customs Branch (HCMC Customs Department) worked with Petroleum Company Zone II (Petrolimex Saigon) to improve the coordination efficiency of importing and exporting petroleum.

At the meeting, Mr Pham Anh Tuan, Director of Petrolimex Saigon, reported the company's import and export activities in 2022 and the first 3 months of 2023. Accordingly, in 2022, Petrolimex Saigon imported more than 1.8 million m3/ton of petrol and oil and paid import tax on time with more than VND 9,400 billion.

In the first 3 months of 2023, despite many difficulties, Petrolimex Saigon carried out import procedures with 118 declarations for more than 500,000 tons of petroleum and paid taxes on time with more than 1,900 billion VND.

In carrying out import and export procedures, Petrolimex Saigon always strictly complies with the provisions of the law on customs procedures, customs inspection, supervision and customs control for imported and exported goods, means of exit and entry transportation. At the same time, it creates favorable conditions for Customs officers to enter and exit specialized port warehouses to perform their duties.

In addition, Petrolimex Saigon has supplemented, upgraded equipment, and coordinated to meet and maintain the conditions for inspection and supervision of petroleum depots according to Decree 67/2020/ND-CP at Nha Be General Petroleum Depot. Specifically, the automatic tank measuring system has been connected, and the customs software has been improved to connect online the quantity of imported, exported and stored petroleum with the customs authority; fully equipped with a camera system to meet online connection with customs authorities, ensuring observation at all time of the day (24/24 hours); improved the software to meet the requirements of online storage management and data export for customs authorities to perform automatic goods management and supervision.

According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, to carry out the task of importing and exporting a large number of petroleum products, Petrolimex Saigon has received great support and facilitation from the Customs. Director Pham Anh Tuan thanked for the attention and direction of leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, Saigon Port Area 3 Customs Branch, and especially customs officials who directly carried out procedures in the Team of Customs Procedure and Import-Export Supervisory who have performed the job with high responsibility, supporting the company to complete the tasks assigned by the Group and Ho Chi Minh City.

Through the meeting, Director of Sub-Department Huynh Nam recognized and highly appreciated the performance of Petrolimex Saigon's import and export activities in recent years, making great contributions to the State budget; Simultaneously, thank you to the business for accompanying and creating conditions for Customs officers to complete the assigned tasks.

Mr. Huynh Nam also welcomed the proposal of Petrolimex Saigon to strengthen the dialogue between customs and enterprises in the coming time to tighten the relationship between the two units further and promptly remove the difficulties and problems arising during the implementation of import and export procedures.

In the coming time, the Saigon port area 3 Customs Branch will continue to strengthen the relationship of companionship and support between the two units, requesting the Sub-department's teams to consider and resolve the proposals of Petrolimex Saigon to create the most favorable conditions for enterprises to import and export this particular product.
