Revenue from imports and exports falls by 19.4%

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs on February 3, the revenue from imports and exports in February reached VND 29,266 billion. The revenue in the first two months saw a year-on-year decrease of 19.4% to VND56,330 billion, meeting 13.3% of the estimate.

The import and export turnover in February is estimated at US$ 49.46 billion, including export turnover of US$ 25.88 billion and import turnover of US$ 23.58 billion.

The total trade in goods increases by 6%, of which export turnover up 10% and import turnover at 3% month-on-month.

The total trade in goods rises by 2% compared with the previous year, of which export up 11% but import turnover was down 7%.

In the first two months of the year, the total trade in goods of the whole country falls by 13% or US$ 14.6 billion to US$96.06 billion compared with a year ago.

The export turnover decreases by 10% to US$ 49.44 and import turnover falls by 16% to US$46.62 billion.

Vietnam’s trade surplus in February is estimated at US$ 2.3 billion. In the first two months, the country sees a trade surplus of US$ 2.82 billion and trade deficit of US$300 million year-on-year.
