Quang Ninh: Volume of import and export goods decreased sharply

Quang Ninh Customs recovers more than VND 1.5 billion of tax debt

According to statistics from Quang Ninh Customs, in the first quarter, the department has implemented customs procedures via the VNACCS/VCIS System for 10,280 declarations, with the import and export turnover of US$1.68 billion, deceasing by 20.3% in the number of declarations and 11.8% in turnover compared to 2019.

In the first quarter, import-export activities and immigration at land border gates, seaports and airports in Quang Ninh province still took place but the volume of goods decreased sharply.

The temporary suspension of goods exports, trading activities of border residents at border gates to wait for the direction of the Government, the provincial People's Committee, reduced the import and export turnover of goods in the province.

Quang Ninh Customs has implemented plans on supporting and attracting export and import enterprises; and plan on organizing business dialogue in 2020.

The department also deployed a set of indicators to assess activities in management supervision field; built implementation plan of regulation on seaport development; Implementation plan of Directive No. 7988/CT-TCHQ dated December 25, 2019 on anti-origin fraud.

The department successfully organized the conference to support businesses in the Covid-19 pandemic prevention which attracted the participation of more than 100 businesses, 15 provincial departments and agencies and the press, and received and answered 20 problems at the Conference.
