Quang Ninh Customs implements solutions to boost imports and exports

Quang Ninh Customs Department issues Plan No. 1987/KH-HQQN on import-export development in Quang Ninh province in 2024.

The plan aims to develop stable and sustainable imports-export activities in the area; encourage, support and promote businesses to expand promote businesses to expand production and export activities, contributing to gradually building and developing the province's export goods brand.

In addition, the plan aims to contribute to the development of import and export associated with the planning and socio-economic development plans of the province, sectors and localities in the province to promote competitive advantages, effectively exploit opportunities and limit impact in implementing international integration commitments.

The department’s plan includes two main task groups and six specific tasks that the Customs will focus on implementing in the coming time to foster import and export across the area.

Accordingly, the department will strengthen state management in import and export activities to facilitate trade and prevent trade fraud.

The department will process all procedures related to import, export and transit goods and means of transport via the National Single Window mechanism; hold dialogue conferences with businesses under management area, promptly resolve problems during customs processes.

The department will promote administrative procedure reform to improve the Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI); strengthen the review and implementation of legal documents related to international economic integration in the Customs field to resolve administrative procedures to support organizations and individuals in implementing import and export across the area.

In addition, Quang Ninh Customs Department also focuses on implementing solution groups to control imports to meet production needs by presiding and coordinating with enforcement forces to inspect and supervise import and export goods at border gates and seaports; strengthen risk control for goods such as conditional imported goods, goods subject to specialized management policies, goods at risk of violating customs management policies on origin, classification, and value, and intellectual property...

In 2024, Quang Ninh Customs Department will continue to improve the efficiency of digital transformation in the customs field, contributing to creating favorable conditions for businesses and promoting import and export across the area.

Quang Ninh Customs Department has paid special attention to synchronously implementing solutions to facilitate and support businesses, promote import and export, and increase the revenue.

As May 15, the Department has processed procedures for 1,183 enterprises with 57,775 declarations, with total trade in goods of US$ 6.98 billion, up 35% in declarations and 27% in turnover compared to the same period in 2023.

The department has collected VND7,151.21 billion, up 25.57% of the target assigned by the Prime Minister (VND12,500 billion), reaching 55.01% of the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee (VND13,000 billion).
