Customs officers instruct enterprises to operate the VASSCM.

On 19 June, the deployment of the VASSCM has helped enterprises to directly receive goods at warehouses, reducing procedures for receiving goods for importers and exporters with the Customs authority.

This implementation also reduces time forinspection of goods status without moving between the Customs Supervision unitand the seaport operator, reduces the time for taking goods out of the port and reduces costs.

Previously, enterprises had to print and submit the list of containers and goods that are eligible through the supervision area to the Customs Supervision Unit and warehouse operators.

Through the e-cargo system, the Customs authority can check and monitor automatically the arrival, removal and inventory of goods at warehouses.

The deployment of the VASSCM for bonded warehouses at International Northern Star Co., Ltd and Quang Ninh Ocean Shipping Agency will bring practical benefits to import-export enterprises and contribute to the implementation of Resolution 19/NQ-CP of the Government in 2018 on the implementation of the main tasks and solutions to improve the business environment at Quang Ninh Customs Department.
