Mong Cai Customs achieve VND1,756 billion in revenue collection

In 2024, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch was assigned a revenue collection target of VND 1,600 billion by Quang Ninh Customs Department.

Right from the beginning of 2024, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch has developed and intensively implemented revenue collection plans, building revenue scenarios for 2024 by month and quarter. At the same time, tasks were assigned to each team/working group to closely monitor the import plans of groups of enterprises, especially key enterprises (importing cars, electronic components, phones, tablets, machinery, equipment...), creating the most favorable conditions for enterprises; supporting and accompanying to retain traditional enterprises and attract new enterprises to carry out customs procedures in the area.

In addition, the Branch also focused on promoting administrative procedure reform, diversifying forms of support for enterprises; effectively deploying the application of information technology in business management, especially 24/7 electronic tax collection and the automated system for seaport customs management VASSCM at all warehouses, yards, and ports.

Coordinating with competent forces and agencies in charge border gate managment to create maximum facilitation for enterprises; advising and proposing mechanisms and policies to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, promoting import and export through the area.

Along with the synchronous implementation of solutions to increase revenue, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch also effectively implemented solutions to prevent revenue loss through conducting physical inspection and supervision of goods at the border gate, detecting and promptly handling acts of fraud in terms of quantity, type, and origin of goods; improving the effectiveness of post-clearance audit, risk management, anti-smuggling, and debt management and recovery...
