Mr. Vu Duc Thien, Chairman of Trang Dinh District People's Committee, speaks at the ceremony to resume customs clearance of the Na Nua - Na Hoa Border gate pair.

Trang Dinh district's report shows that, before the Covid-19 outbreak, the annual import-export volume of Na Nua - Na Hoa Border Gate pair reached 270,000 tons. Na Nua- Na Hoa Border Gate pair is one of key border gate pairs in the economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China as well as the immigration of the people of the two countries.

However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Border gate pair has suspended customs clearance from January 2020. The resumption of customs clearance of the Border gate pair aims to meet the needs of imports and exports of businesses and the movement across the border gates of the residents of the two countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Duc Thien, Chairman of Trang Dinh District People's Committee said the visit to Vietnam by China’s Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping has improved the two countries' relations to a new level. During President Xi Jinping's visit, the two sides issued a joint statement and developed new relations, further deepening the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership. The two sides aim to jointly promote the strong development of the border economies of the two countries.

The resumption of customs clearance at the border gate pair is an opportunity to promote exchanges and economic development at Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province, Vietnam with Long Chau, Guangxi, China. At the same time, this is an opportunity for the two localities to continue to strengthen cooperation, contributing to promoting border trade and working together to build a border of peace, friendship and development, Thien said.

The resumption of customs clearance follows regulations on the State foreign affairs and people’s foreign affairs based on the principles of peace, cooperation and development; and implements policies of senior leaders of the two Parties and States of Vietnam and China, between Lang Son and Guangxi provinces, between Trang Dinh and Long Chau districts on enhancement of cooperation, solidarity and friendship in the fields of economics, culture, society, and foreign affairs, boosting economic and tourism development between Trang Dinh and Long Chau districts.

On December 14, Na Nua Customs Technical Team (Tan Thanh Customs Branch, Lang Son Customs Department) processed customs clearance for dozens of vehicles across Na Nua - Na Hoa Border Gate pair.

Mr. Ly Cam Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Border Trade of Sung Ta city, said that the Chinese side has widely informed traders and businesses about the official resumption of import-export activities across Na Hoa Border Gate.

To improve the efficiency of import and export across Na Nua Border Gate, the local enforcement forces have prepared all conditions to receive, handle and support customs clearance procedures for businesses.

In addition, Na Nua Customs Technical Team has widely notified the resumption of customs clearance at Na Nua Border Gate to residents and businesses to proactively transport goods for carrying out customs processes.
