Officially merging two Customs Branches of Quang Ninh Customs

Previously, on September 19, 2019, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision No. 1867/QD-BTC dated September 19, 2019 on reorganising the Customs Branch under Quang Ninh Customs Department, decision on the consolidation of Hon Gai port Customs Branch and Cai Lan Port Customs Branch.
On that basis, merging the two Customs Customs Branches into one Customs Branch under Quang Ninh Customs Department is implemented on the basis of not increasing the hub, ensuring the requirement of State management of customs, saving payroll, headquarters, infrastructure and existing equipment of units.
Specifically, after the merger,Hon Gai port Customs Branch would have four teams including: the General Affair Team, Duty Management Team, the Customs Technique Team, and the Customs Supervision and Enforcement Team with a total of 78 customs officials.
The consolidation of two Customs Branches has reduced one hub at the sub-department level and one clue at the team level, saving seven officials compared to before the consolidation.
Regarding operation areas, Hon Gai Customs Branch after consolidation would perform State management of customs in five cities, districts and towns within a radius of 100 km including: Ha City Long, Uong Bi City, Hoanh Bo District, Quang Yen Town and Dong Trieu Town.
The department would also manage six ports of type I of Quang Ninh port, including: Cai Lan general and container port, B12 petroleum terminal, Ha Long shipyard, Hon Gai passenger port, specialised bulk port of Ha Long cement plant, specialized bulk port of Thang Long cement plant; managing four industrial parks; managing four duty-free shops, two bonded warehouses and 30 inspection locations at the work sites and production facilities.
With diversified forms of customs management such as: Import - Export goods, Industrial parks, duty-free shops, bonded warehouses, export processing, temporary import and re-export, transit business.
