Nearly 13 percent of declarations at Hai Phong Seaport Customs branches in the Red channel

In January, the total customs declaration at Hai Phong Customs Department was 120,477 declarations, down 22.97 percent compared to 2019. Of which, 69,475 were import declarations and 51,002 were export declarations.
The Investment/Processing Customs Branch had the largest declaration quantity with 27,633 declarations. The Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch of Zone 2 had the lowest quantity with 2,618 declarations.
At four seaport customs branches (Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch of Zone 1, Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch of Zone 2, Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch of Zone 3 and Dinh Vu Seaport Customs Branch), the Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch of Zone 3 had the largest quantity with 9,607 declarations.
In the group of customs branches outside seaports, Thai Binh Customs Branch had the lowest quantity with 6,303 declarations.
In January, there were 49.4 percent of Green channel declarations, 44.4 percent of Yellow channel declarations, and 6.2 percent of Red channel declarations at Hai Phong Customs Department.
However, in the group of four seaport customs branches, the rate of Red channel declaration was double the average rate of the whole department.
Specifically, the average rate of declarations in four seaport customs branches was 15.3 percent of Green channel, 72 percent of Yellow channel and 12.7 percent of Red channel.
Thus, the rate of Yellow channel and Red channel at seaport customs branches was up to 85 percent (equivalent to 17,589 declarations).
In January, Hai Phong Customs Department processed procedures for goods volume with a total turnover of US$5.558 billion, down 19.9 percent compared to 2019.
Export turnover reached nearly US$2.591 billion, down 14.4 percent compared to 2019. Taxable export turnover reached US$8.37 million, down 42.7 percent compared to 2019.
Import turnover reached US$2.968 billion, down 24.1 percent compared to 2019. Taxable import turnover reached more than US$1.188 billion, down 31.7 percent compared to 2019.
In January, the department’s revenue was VND4,100 billion, reaching 6.12 percent compared to the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, down 47.48 percent compared to 2019.
