Under the plan, Bac Luan Bridge inaugural ceremony will take place on March 19th, 2019. At the same time, the state management on Customs at Bac Luan II Bridge will also be officially deployed.
Also according to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, on the basis of existing human resources, all Customs procedures through Bac Luan Bridge II are to be managed by officials and civil servants of the Supervision Team I of the Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch.
After the ceremony, all exported and imported goods will be circulated through Bac Luan Bridge II.
Meanwhile, all procedures for immigration passengers and border residents still remain, which is processed at Bac Luan Bridge I.
This contributes to create favorable conditions for businesses in procedural settlement as well as vehicles through Bac Luan II bridge, avoiding congestion caused by increased volume of passengers and means of transport as before.
Leaders of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch hope that they will attract more import-export businesses with super-sized and super-weight agricultural products.
Previously, Bac Luan Bridge I only allowed means of transport carrying machinery and equipment with a tonnage of less than 45 tons.
However, after launching Bac Luan Bridge II, it allows means of transport for carrying goods with a tonnage of up to 60 tons.
At the same time, this area is also equipped with a crane system to give logistical support for import and export enterprises.
