Mong Cai Customs clears about 900 passengers on first day of resuming customs clearance

According to the Management Board of Mong Cai International Border Gate, as of January 8, about 900 residents exited and entered across Mong Cai International Border Gate.
Specifically, 846 Chinese residents carried out exit procedures and 24 Vietnamese people implemented entry procedures across Mong Cai International Border Gate.
On January 8, the pair of Mong Cai - Dong Hung International Border Gate officially resumed customs clearance after a 3-year suspension due to the Covid pandemic.
On January 7, the People's Government of Dong Hung City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China sent a notification to the People's Committee of Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh, Vietnam.
According to the notification, the customs clearance time and procedures for exit and entry across Bac Luan I Border Gate Bridge resume from 9am to 5:00 pm Beijing time (from 8 am to 4 pm Hanoi time).
The arrival appointment is stopped. People with a negative RT-PCR test certificate within 48 hours are allowed to enter the country.
Facilitate the issuance of visas for foreigners entering to China to work, trade, study abroad, visit relatives and reunite; and allow Chinese residents to exit for tourism.
