Local customs department will be in charge of post-clearance audit for 202 enterprises under seven plans

Specifically, in order to synchronously implement post-clearance audit for a number of management areas, the post-clearance audit force has researched and assessed signs of risk in a number of areas of customs management under seven special projects.
Accordingly, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has assigned local customs departments to carry out post-clearance audit for 202 enterprises under seven projects in the first six months of 2022.
Regarding the implementation of Directive 439/CT-TCHQ dated February 11, 2022 of the Director General of Vietnam Customs on the synchronous and drastic implementation of trade facilitation solutions, improving state management efficiency, preventing loss of revenue in the implementation of revenue collection task in 2022, the Post-Clearance Audit Department has developed 11 specific solutions on developing orientation plans; building legal institutions; tax management; directing post-clearance audit activities at provincial and municipal customs departments and training.
Regarding the results of the post-clearance audit, from the beginning of the year to March 15, the whole sector carried out 147 cases of post-clearance audit, including 42 cases of on-site audit, 105 cases were conducted at the customs office.
The total amount of tax assessment and administrative penalties was VND85.36 billion, which has actually collected VND44.74 billion into the state budget.
