Lao Cai Customs’ revenue increases by 30.5% to over VND200 billion

In 2024, Lao Cai Customs Department is assigned by the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs the revenue target of VND 1,050 billion.
As of 15 March, the department’s revenue increased by 30% year-on-year to VND203.1 billion, reaching 19.3% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
The revenue collection results of the Lao Cai Customs Department have prospered, reflecting positive growth in import and export activities across the area.
As of March 15, the number of enterprises carrying out procedures at the department rose 32 enterprises to 365 enterprises compared with the previous year. The total number of declarations increased 1,855 to 11,657 declarations.
Total import and export turnover grew 41% to US$293.9 million. Of which, the export turnover increased by 41.3% to US$ 186.2 million; the import turnover rose 40.5% to US$ 107.7 million.

Imported products mainly are agricultural products, plastic, plastic products, iron and steel and iron and steel products, machines and mechanical equipment, fertilizers, chemicals, coke, electricity...
