According to Lao Cai Customs Department, in May, the department continues to well implement tax and customs policies and managements of ministries and sectors related to import and export activities; means of transport on entry and exit, regulations on customs procedures, creating favorable conditions for businesses in import and export activities.
The department will continue to effectively process customs processes on the VNACCS/VCIS, the VASSCM and execute the National Single Window...
In addition, the department will take measures on customs control such as e- Customs seal, container scanner to prevent smuggling, trade fraud, and improve law compliance of businesses.
As of May 15, Lao Cai Customs Department processed procedures for 26,449 declarations, including 11,881 export declarations and 14,568 import declarations.
The total trade in goods increased 75.8% year-on-year to US$ 761.9 million, including export turnover at US$ 546.3 million, up 89%; import turnover at US$ 215.6 million, 49.4%.
Exported products mainly are peeled wood, durian, dragon fruit, cassava, green bananas, lychees, foot wear, coffee, yellow phosphorus...
Imported products mainly are agricultural products, fertilizers, chemicals, coke, electricity, plastic, plastic products, iron and steel and iron and steel products, machines and mechanical equipment, confectionery.
