According to Ho Chi Minh City border gate Customs Branches, at the beginning of the year, although many businesses have not yet started their operations and the import and export volume through seaports and airports has been limited, many Customs Branches have been operatingtoimplement import and export procedures smoothly.

According to Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch, during the Lunar New Year holidays, the number of passengers on entry and exit via Tan Son Nhat International Airport havegreatly increased, including a large number of overseas Vietnamese returning home to reunite with their families. Therefore, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Department has arranged human resources and worked 24/24 hours to support and implement procedures for passengers on entry and exit in general, and overseas Vietnamese in particular. In addition, the Branch have also assigned its officers to implement Customs clearance for import and export shipments,such as fresh food and seafood, to meet the needs of the people during the Lunar New Year. .

Particularly, after the Lunar New Year, the number of passengers on exit has risen.The Branch has strengthened and arranged the youth delegation to support Customs procedures with the Exit Luggage Customs Procedure Team to provide timely assistanceand best support to passengers.

At Customs Branchesseaports, although the outside border gates and export processing areasduring Tet holidaydid not havemany businesses registering import procedures, they still arranged forenough human resources to handle shipments on exit and in transit at therequest of enterprises.

At Cat Lai port, during the Lunar New Year holiday, there were only a few import declarations, but there were 17 export declarations, with 51 goods containers. Of which, 36 dragon fruit containers, 1 mango container, and11 cassava starch containersfor export to China; 2 containers of white shrimp were exported to Korea and 1 container of chilli was exported to Singapore. Customs Branch at Saigon Port Zone 1 has arranged its officers to carry out export procedures for enterprises in the most convenient manner.
