HCM City Customs Department increase revenue by 177 billion VND through price consultancy

VCN – Through the price consultancy for imported goods, HCM City Customs Department has increased revenue for State Budget by over 177 billion VND.

According to HCM City Customs Department, in the first 8 months of 2018, the customs units at the border gate have consulted for over 10,000 import declarations with suspected valuation for tax calculation.

As a result, 3,771 customs declarations were rejected the declared value, adjusted for additional collection by over 177 billion VND; accepted declared prices for over 5,700 declarations and 1,200 declarations are being processed for consultancy.

Particularly, the Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch has the largest amount of tax increase through: rejecting the declared value of nearly 3,000 declarations, tax adjustment to increase by over 102 billion VND; The Investment Customs Branch rejected the declared value of 566 customs declarations, increasing by over 45 billion VND.

Particularly, Hiep Phuoc Port Customs Branch rejected the declared value of 18 imported automobile declarations, adjusted the tax calculation price and increased the revenue by nearly 11 billion VND.

Furthermore, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, deputy head of division in charge of import-export tariff division – HCM City Customs Department, noted the enterprises that through the work of price consultancy, Customs authorities will reject the declared price of the enterprises in the following cases: The customs authorities detects fraudulent customs declaration dossiers, the record is inconsistent; The customs authorities prove that the dossier does not satisfy one of the four conditions of the transaction value method; Enterprises do not declare the amount added to the transaction price; the manufacturer informs to Customs that the declared price of the enterprise is incorrect; There are denunciations that the customs authorities have verified to be true.
