Hanoi in charge of nine customs procedures

Hanoi Customs Department has completed nine procedures assigned by the General Department of Customs and worked with other local customs departments to complete 45 other procedures.

In addition to implementing a digital and smart customs model, in 2021, Hanoi Customs Department has implemented many solutions to facilitate import and export activities in the area.

Accordingly, Hanoi Customs has built a plan on trade facilitation for enterprises in the city, focusing on six key tasks and nine specific tasks according to plan 205/KH-UBND of the Hanoi City People's Committee on October 28, 2020 on supporting businesses to carry out customs procedures in ​​Hanoi from 2020 - 2025.

Moreover, the department has worked with authorities in Hanoi and provinces Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai and Hoa Binh to offer solutions to help businesses on investment procedures, land, tax and customs procedures.

Hanoi Customs proposed to establish a Trade Facilitation Committee of the city and develop solutions to facilitate import and export activities in the city. Hanoi Customs proposed Hanoi People's Committee to propose the Government to consider and cancel the Prime Minister's Decision 23/2019/QD-TTg dated June 27, 2019 promulgating the list of imported goods that must go through customs procedures at the import border to minimize the costs of procedures, transportation and storage for enterprises.

In addition, Hanoi Customs has proposed the General Department of Customs to remove difficulties in implementing border gate transfer procedures for completely built unit (CBU) cars at ICD My Dinh and ICD Long Bien.

In addition, facing complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, Hanoi Customs Department also developed a plan to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic to ensure customs clearance and remove difficulties and problems of enterprises under their management and boost customs clearance for products used for pandemic prevention under the direction of the General Department of Customs and established a support team to solve problems on customs procedures 24/7 for goods, especially medical supplies, equipment and vaccines.

Furthermore, Hanoi Customs has reviewed and promoted the progress of projects under the Scheme "Building centralized inspection sites associated with modern customs management of Hanoi Customs Department".

This is the premise for Customs to effectively serve import-export activities, production, trade, and logistics activities of enterprises. Hanoi Customs has reviewed and recognized inspection sites at factories, production facilities, and construction works for enterprises to carry out customs procedures at the Investment and Processing Customs Branch, Yen Bai Customs and Hoa Binh Customs Branches.
